About

The Inspiration Forum is a platform of the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival for thinking about the contemporary world. Since 2011, when it was founded as a space for documentary directors to meet with personalities from outside the world of documentary cinema, it has been connecting the film and non-film worlds and creating a space for discovering new perspectives and engaging in dialogue. This gathering brings together global thinkers, scientists, local activists, artists, filmmakers, and those who do not normally receive media attention in an effort to reflect changes in the ecological, political, technological and social landscape. Beyond the annual event, the Inspiration Forum fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and the creation of artistic projects through the IF Lab programme and supports the development of young journalists in the IF News Workshop, often working together with local and international partner organizations such as cultural organizations, research institutions, universities and NGOs.
