Anežka Bartlová is an art critic and art historian and editor-in-chief of the visual art magazine Artalk. She is also a member of the editorial board of the Art, Theory and Related Zones and a member of the Skutek Society, a solidarity platform for communication inside and outside the art scene, for which she prepared the brochure The Social Status of the Artist, Curator and Critic (2018). She holds degrees in Art History at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, Theory and History of Art at UMPRUM and a PhD in Theory and History of Contemporary Art at AVU. She publishes in the magazines art+antiques, Flash Art CZ/SK and A2, and on the web platform Artalk.cz and A2larm.
