Bohumil Melichar focuses on modern and contemporary history, with a special focus on radical political parties and movements. He is a doctoral student at the Institute of Economic and Social History at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University. He cooperates or has cooperated with the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes, the Historical Institute of the University of Hradec Králové, the Institute of Philosophy of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and the National Museum. His texts have appeared in the cultural fortnightly A2 and on the web portals iliteratura.cz and a2larm.cz.
