In his practice he is engaged in design activities and is an associate professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague. In his research activities he deals with the area of housing, he has long been focusing on aspects of various forms of housing in the context of sustainable development and housing affordability. He is a co-founder of the Centre for Housing Quality, where he advises on housing environment and housing policy, and a member of the advisory board of the UN EEC Housing Committee in Geneva. He is co-author of the Prague Building Regulations and numerous publications on housing.
