She graduated in biology and environmental humanities and currently works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Environmental Studies at Masaryk University in Brno. She has a long-term interest in alternative economic practices, local production and consumption and the concept of sustainable non-growth. She has recently completed research on the operation of social enterprises in the Czech Republic and is currently focusing on bringing the topic of degrowth into the Czech context. She also works with the organisations Trast pro ekonomiku a společnost, NaZemi and Re-set: a platform for social-environmental transformation.
