Chairwoman of the Board of the Czech Film Fund, Vice-Dean for Science and Research at FAMU in Prague, game researcher and lecturer. She studied film theory at Charles University. For fifteen years she worked as an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Audiovisual Studies at FAMU, where she focused on film analysis and theory, French film and game studies. For several years she was the editor-in-chief of the Cinepur film bimonthly and editor of the journal for theory, history and aesthetics of film, Illumination. Her work as a game scholar explores the artistic qualities of computer games and their position as a new medium within the context of culture.
