Jan Mazal is a Colonel on the General Staff of the Army of the Czech Republic and Associate Professor in Military Management. He holds a PhD in Defence Management Theory. He is currently the head of the Department of Military Robotics at the University of Defence in Brno. His fields of expertise are military robotics, C4ISR systems, modelling and simulation. Previously, he held various teaching and scientific positions in the Czech Army. He is the former Head of Education and Doctrine Training at the NATO Centre of Excellence for Modelling and Simulation in Rome.
