Josef Patočka works as a researcher and educator at Re-set, a platform for social-ecological transformation, where he focuses on the transition to a more sustainable and just economy, the development of solidarity economies and community organising. He writes on social and environmental justice issues for Deník Referendum. He studied sociology and political science at universities in Brno and Prague.
