Josef Pazderka is a Czech journalist, reporter and, since 2022, the editor-in-chief of PRo Plus. He worked as a humanitarian worker at People in Need, allowing him to experience the bloody Chechen war from 1999 to 2001 up close. He worked for Czech Television for many years and was a foreign correspondent for it in Russia and Ukraine, where he experienced, among other things, the so-called Euromaidan of 2014 and the subsequent Russian occupation. For six years, he was involved in the management of the online daily Aktuálně.cz. He published the book Invasion 1968. A Russian Perspective, which has been translated into several languages. He is also the recipient of several prestigious journalism awards.
