Professor in social policy and sustainability at Lund University. His research focuses on patterns of capitalist restructuring and how they are reflected in social and employment relations, structures of social inequality and the environment. He also addresses the issues of degrowth, sustainable welfare and the promotion of synergies between environmental and social policies. In his book Postgrowth and Wellbeing: Challenges to Sustainable Welfare, published in 2017 with Milena Büchs, Koch explores the possibilities for cultivating human well-being in a post-growth society.
