Rufina Bazlova is a Belarusian artist living in Prague. She works in illustration, social art and scenography. She became internationally known for her History of Belarusian Embroidery series, which uses traditional folk embroidery to address socio-political issues in Belarus and employs it as a social tool to increase solidarity. In 2023, she became an ArtsLink Fellow and spent a residency at the Hyde Park Art Center in Chicago. Rufina Bazlova also co-founded Stitchit, z.s., which is currently working on #Framed in Belarus, an international solidarity project dedicated to political prisoners in Belarus.
