Sabine Pfeiffer is a sociologist who focuses on the relationship between technology, work and society. In her book Digital Capitalism and Distributive Forces (2022), she asks what is really new about digitalisation and digital capitalism today, and argues that we should be asking other questions than simply whether robots are taking our jobs. She works at the Institute of Sociology at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and is a member of the scientific board of the German platform Industrie 4.0.
