Tereza Stöckelová focuses on the study of science, technology and medicine. She has a long-standing interest in the issues of biosociality and interspecies coexistence. Currently, she is researching the social life of the microbiome and fungi and collaborating within the Interdisciplinary Platform for the Study of Nutrition and Metabolism in a Social and Ecological Context (VÝSEK). She works at the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences and teaches at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology, Faculty of Social and Cultural Anthropology, Charles University. She is a member of the advisory body of the UNESCO World Commission on the Ethics of Scientific Knowledge and Technology.
