Václav Hradilek works as a specialist in modelling hydrological phenomena in landscapes within the Centre for Soil, Water and Landscape at the Czech University of Agriculture in Prague, which was established to combat drought and floods more effectively through research, education, design and implementation of landscapes adapted to climate change conditions. In addition, he is involved in the protection of patients' rights and is the chairman of the patient organisation SMÁci, z.s., which brings together patients with spinal muscular atrophy, their relatives and caregivers. He is also a member of the Advisory Body of the Minister of Health for the Reimbursement of Drugs for the Treatment of Rare Diseases.
