Debates about the transformation of work in the context of digital platforms and the gig economy have been dominated in recent months by the question of what role artificial intelligence has and will play in all of this. After the general public became familiar with big language models thanks to ChatGPT, it has become widely apparent that AI will intervene in the work of a wider and more diverse group than we might have expected. Since this past May, when the screenwriters' strike began in the United States, the question of the future of the creative professions in relation to AI has been impossible to avoid. What impact will AI have on work? What impacts does it already have on it today? In what ways can it replace us? Will it disproportionately affect women or other groups? Will it really fundamentally transform the world of work, or just exacerbate existing problems?
